We went down to Boyle on Friday last to photograph Ursuline College v Scoil Mhuire Strokestown in the Pat The Baker Connacht Post Primary Schools Senior C Final. It was a beautiful day – perfect for free flowing football. We got some cracking photos and got to enjoy a really entertaining game of football.

The schools involved where: Sligo Grammar School, Summerhill College, Sacred Heart Westport, Ballinrobe, St Josephs Foxford, Ursuline College, Ballinamore, St Marys Ballina, Swinford, St Colemans College, Carrick C.S., St Muredachs, Grange P.P.S., St Geralds, St Louis Kiltimagh, Ballyhaunis, Mercy Sligo, Coola, St Attractas, Rice College Westport, Balla, St Mels, Ballymahon, St Clares Manor, Drumshambo V.S., Scoil Mhuire Longford, Manorhamilton.

It was a fantastic event with lots of ‘Shooting Stars’. On reflection Talent shows and similar could be thought of as Sport. Certainly the quality and commitment of the contestants wouldn’t be out of place on any playing field in the country.
